There are four buses each day from Prishtina to Skopje and four each day back on Albus Autobus (5.5€ each way). Although it’s just 90 kilometers, the trip takes 2-3 hours due to road/weather conditions and time at the border as well as the fact that the autobus picks up and drops off along the way.
The Albus autobus makes the following daily trips:
From Prishtina to Skopje: 06:30, 07:25, 11:30, and 15:30
From Skopje to Prishtina: 09:00, 15:00, 17:00, 18:10
There may be other bus lines that make this route, but this is the company that I have used. Note that you can buy your ticket on the bus and that the bus picks up and drops off passengers along the trip. You must have your passport.
My main notes about Skopje are: 1) it’s Budapest-big with Texas-sized statues; 2) you can get great hotel bargains; 3) the Old Town is wonderful; 4) the shopping malls will make Americans happy, 5) but the waiters, traditional cuisine, and coffee probably won’t; and, 6) And you cannot buy Bendryl (in any form) in Macedonia either.
I cannot wait to return!
